A FEW GOOD QUESTIONS

Before you head out.

Will a prediction be shiny for everyone?

No. Predictions depend on the linked trainer. A shiny for one trainer may be ordinary for another. Game changes and scanner data can affect results.

Already a live-map member?

Contact PokeDave to arrange your move to Next. Shiny VIP is $25/month and Plus is $35/month. Any credit, timing and change to your existing plan will be confirmed before you pay. Please do not start a second subscription to upgrade.

Can I use it in Massachusetts?

Next is planned for Rhode Island first. Massachusetts expansion depends on enough demand to support reliable coverage. Existing Massachusetts coverage is being reviewed; no closure date has been announced.

Does a location ping follow someone?

No. A guest chooses to share one location. It appears for a limited time, then expires. A friend request also requires the other person to agree to share.

Are custom scans unlimited?

Custom scans are a Plus benefit with 21 spots per rolling hour, up to 7 per request, and a two-minute personal cooldown. Shared capacity limits keep the scanners available for everyone. As support for Next grows, we aim to expand capacity and revisit these limits—after measuring reliability. Higher limits are a future goal, not a promise included in today’s plan.

Could enrollment be capped later?

Yes. There is no fixed signup cap now, but we may pause new memberships later based on measured demand and service performance. Custom scans still have personal and shared capacity limits. A scan allowance is a maximum, not a guarantee that every request can run immediately.
